House Rules & Liability Waiver
Safety and conduct rules at our shooting range.
This English translation is provided for your convenience. The German version is the legally binding one.
HOUSE RULES
1. GENERAL
1.1. These house rules apply to all users of the facility. The house rules may be amended at any time. The version in force at the time of the visit applies.
1.2. By entering the facility, every user agrees to all points of these house rules and acknowledges them in a legally binding and unrestricted manner.
1.3. Every user must register at the reception desk.
1.4. The headings of these house rules have been inserted for ease of reading. They do not limit the content of the respective points listed.
1.5. Damage of any kind as well as recognised hazards must be reported to the staff without delay.
1.6. When leaving the shooting range, it must be left in a proper, clean condition. Cartridge cases and rubbish must be disposed of in the containers provided (waste separation must be observed). In case of non-compliance, a corresponding cleaning fee will be charged.
1.7. The instructions of the staff (acoustic and visual) must be followed immediately at all times. The staff is entitled to check the firearms and types of ammunition used when shooting.
1.8. Current notices and information within the premises must always be observed.
1.9. The facility area is monitored by video.
2. PERSONS AUTHORISED TO USE THE SHOOTING FACILITY
2.1. Entering and using the shooting range is permitted to any person of legal age, with the exception of:
2.1.1. Persons who do not possess a valid firearms document (firearms ownership card (Waffenbesitzkarte) or firearms pass (Waffenpass)). In consultation with the shooting range management, exceptions are possible.
2.1.2. Persons against whom a (provisional) firearms ban exists;
2.1.3. Persons who are under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, medication or other impairing influences;
2.1.4. Persons who have been prohibited or forbidden from use by the staff.
3. RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITIONS
3.1. Bringing in and firing all weapons and ammunition prohibited under the currently applicable firearms law is not permitted. The use of tracer ammunition, incendiary and hard-core projectiles, muzzle-loading or black-powder weapons is likewise not permitted. Firing shot is prohibited. Slugs may only be fired in the dynamic shooting facility from a distance of 10 to 15 m.
3.2. An absolute prohibition on smoking, alcohol and drugs applies. Furthermore, eating and drinking as well as making phone calls is prohibited within the static and dynamic shooting range.
3.3. Any action that could lead to the ignition of powder residue is prohibited. The use of open fire, flammable liquids and gases, pyrotechnic charges, objects and igniters and other explosion-hazardous substances and the like is prohibited.
4. CONDUCT AT THE SHOOTING FACILITY IN GENERAL
4.1. The shooting range may only be entered and used by all persons with shooting glasses (when wearing prescription glasses these are not required) and hearing protection.
4.2. The shooting range may only be entered or left with unloaded firearms (excepted from this are holders of a firearms pass (WP) and duty-weapon carriers of an Austrian authority).
4.3. Other people's firearms and ammunition may not be touched without the express consent of the owner.
4.4. Everyone is responsible for their own firearm.
4.5. Firearms must always be regarded and treated as loaded.
4.6. Care must be taken to ensure that safety at the shooting range is guaranteed for all persons and the entire infrastructure. The required care in handling firearms must be observed without exception.
4.7. Before the door to the shooting range is opened, the user must satisfy themselves by a visual inspection whether the door can be opened without danger. Opening this door is only permitted during shooting breaks.
4.8. A loaded firearm may not be handed over or set down. If it is necessary to set down a firearm, it must be unloaded and the safety engaged.
4.9. Firearms must be unloaded immediately after shooting has ended.
4.10. Firearms may only be set down or laid aside unloaded and (depending on the type of firearm) with the magazine removed and the cylinder swung out. The firearm must be laid down in such a way that the muzzle of the firearm points towards the bullet trap.
4.11. Cleaning, disassembling and repairing firearms is permitted exclusively in the safety zone ("Fummelzone"). In the safety zone there is an absolute prohibition on ammunition. Handling firearms outside the designated areas is prohibited.
4.12. Loading and unloading firearms as well as carrying out shooting, aiming and sighting exercises or other handling of the firearm (whether loaded or unloaded) is only permitted in the direction of the target object/bullet trap. Under no circumstances may the firearm, whether loaded or unloaded, be held in a direction other than towards the bullet trap or pointed at people. The muzzle of the firearm must be directed in such a way that no one can be endangered or injured by a (shot released unintentionally). Attention must be paid at all times to the safety of all persons in the shooting range.
4.13. Turning around (away from the bullet trap) with the firearm, whether loaded or unloaded, is prohibited.
4.14. Finger off the trigger! The finger must always be kept outside the trigger guard until immediately before the intended shot is fired.
4.15. In the event of feeding malfunctions or other faults that cannot be remedied by the shooter themselves, the staff must be notified. The firearm must be unloaded with the muzzle pointing towards the bullet trap, or handled in such a way that no one is endangered. In the case of disruptions to shooting operations that require shooting to be stopped, the instructions of the staff must be followed immediately.
5. CONDUCT IN DYNAMIC SHOOTING
5.1. Dynamic shooting (movement with a live firearm) is prohibited to individuals for safety reasons. With more than two shooters, a responsible and qualified supervisory person must be defined within the group, who must continuously supervise the shooting and ensure that those present in the shooting hall do not cause any avoidable hazards through their conduct and that the rules of these shooting range regulations are observed. The supervisory person must, where this is necessary to prevent hazards, prohibit shooting and presence in the shooting hall. The supervisory person must designate areas for the loading and unloading procedure.
5.2. Target objects may only be moved and positioned in such a way that shooting is done in the direction of the bullet trap. The use of mobile bullet traps is subject to costs and authorisation and is only permitted after signing the relevant separate instruction.
5.3. The shortest distance from which shots may be fired towards the target object is 5 metres.
5.4. Only the designated target objects may be fired at. Toppled targets may not be shot at.
6. CONDUCT IN STATIC SHOOTING
6.1. Depending on the shooting position, a maximum of 2, or in the middle 3, persons per shooting position are permitted.
6.2. Handling of the firearm is only permitted at the shooting position provided and assigned for this purpose. Firearms are to be taken out of the transport container only inside the shooting position and, after shooting, are to be stowed again inside the shooting position in the transport container, or handling is permitted in an unloaded(!) condition in the safety zone ("Fummelzone") provided for this purpose.
6.3. Loading and unloading firearms as well as carrying out shooting, aiming and sighting exercises or other handling of the firearm (whether loaded or unloaded) is only permitted in/from the shooting positions provided for this purpose with the barrel directed towards the bullet trap.
6.4. The partition walls of the booths at the shooting position are not bulletproof. Any endangerment of persons must be ruled out.
7. CONDUCT IN KRAV MAGA, SELF-DEFENCE AND FORCE ON FORCE TRAINING
7.1. During Force on Force training (with non-lethal ammunition or marking ammunition), protective clothing must be worn. Protective glasses must be worn in the hall throughout the entire training, including during training breaks, and must not be removed.
7.2. Each participant is responsible themselves for correctly putting on the respective required protective equipment. Should protective equipment slip during an exercise or no longer fit correctly, the exercise must be ended immediately and the staff notified.
7.3. The participant affirms that they are physically able to make use of the training offerings.
7.4. Care must be taken to ensure that safety in the training is guaranteed for all persons and the entire infrastructure.
7.5. Because of the risk of injury, the wearing of watches, jewellery and the like is prohibited. The wearing of prescription glasses is at the discretion of the participants. Prescription glasses do not in any case replace the protective glasses provided by the training centre for Force on Force training.
7.6. The instructions of the staff (acoustic and visual) must be followed immediately at all times.
7.7. Intensity and scope of exercise must be controlled independently and adapted to one's personal training condition. Excessive harshness is prohibited.
7.8. Drinking water in sealable containers (e.g. drinking bottles) is permitted. Glass bottles and beverages other than water are prohibited in the training rooms.
7.9. Participants use their own training clothing. This may become soiled or damaged in the course of the training. Halevi Partner assumes no liability for this.
7.10. In case of feeling unwell, the training must be interrupted immediately. Inform the trainer present!
8. SANCTIONS
In the event of violations of these house rules or also for other reasons, the staff may, even without prior warning and without stating reasons, impose a (temporary or permanent) prohibition on use and entry. The affected person must then leave the shooting range immediately. In this case, the affected person has no claim to reimbursement of course and range fees, other payments made, or other costs incurred.
9. LEGAL-CONSEQUENCES RISK / LIABILITY / EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY / WAIVER DECLARATION
9.1. The user of the facility is aware that in handling firearms, in close combat and in tactical training there is an increased risk to health and life. When shooting, accidents with considerable resulting injuries (in the extreme case death) cannot be ruled out even with the greatest care.
9.2. Entering, using and/or being present in the facility takes place at one's own peril and risk. Everyone shoots and trains at their own responsibility and their own risk.
9.3. Everyone is responsible for their own conduct, in particular for their conduct with the firearm and for the shot fired by them, and is liable to the full extent for all resulting damage to persons and/or property. For damage outside the intended use, in particular through errant shots (any surface other than the target and the bullet trap), the party causing it is liable. Thus the price for a ceiling, wall or floor shot, for example, is EUR 38, for a lighting fixture EUR 96.
9.4. It is pointed out that Halevi Partner GmbH takes out no insurance whatsoever for the users. Every user must themselves ensure adequate insurance cover, in particular adequate accident, health and liability insurance cover.
9.5. Halevi Partner GmbH, its employees and other vicarious agents are not liable for damage to persons and/or property that is caused by users of the shooting range.
9.6. Halevi Partner GmbH, its employees and other vicarious agents are not liable for damage, in particular not for loss, theft or damage of objects of any kind (such as e.g. clothing, jewellery, money, valuables, etc.).
9.7. The user undertakes to hold Halevi Partner GmbH, its employees and other vicarious agents harmless and indemnified with regard to all claims of whatever kind (regardless of the legal basis) that are connected with damage caused by the user arising from or in connection with the shooting training. This holding harmless and indemnification also applies to persons who shoot as accompanying persons under the supervision of the user.
9.8. Furthermore, the user declares that they waive the assertion of all claims of whatever kind (regardless of the legal basis) against Halevi Partner GmbH, its employees and other vicarious agents that are connected with damage arising from or in connection with the shooting training. This waiver is also declared for relatives and dependents as well as heirs of the user.
9.9. The user further declares under oath that no (provisional) firearms ban exists against them.
